Philodendron Birkin Galaxy (Philodendron sp. Hybrid)
Philodendron Birkin is a striking cultivar of Philodendron 'Congo Rojo', originally from the tropical regions of South America. It is considered either a mutation of the Philodendron 'Congo Rojo', or potentially a hybrid of 'Congo Rojo' and Philodendron 'Imperial Green’. The Philodendron Birkin Galaxy is a rarer and highly prized cultivar that contains a higher amount of creamy white variegation and striping.
As with most Philodendrons the Philodendron Birkin Galaxy prefers bright indirect light and a well draining chunky soil mix such as an aroid mix. This will allow for the retention of sufficient moisture while still allowing for drainage of excess water, as well as airflow to the roots.
Watering should be done weekly or when the top inch of soil is dry, and it can be fertilized every 3-4 weeks.
